The camera never lies… Or does it !?!?…

Summer House

Wouldn’t you just love one like this ??… and unfortunately no, it’s not mine… lol.. Anyways, I had to post this, as we’ve been having a distinct taste of summer over here… Today it has been well up in the 80’s, which is truly unusual for May… but I’m defo not complaining… We just need a few more clouds (for photographic purposes obviously)… ;)

  1. Wow, it would be nice to have summer-like weather. Despite living in California it has yet to arrive this year.

This is a beautiful shot. Very interesting looking cabin and very dramatic with the angle and treatment.

    • Cheers Sean… I’m not sure how long this particular summer will last, as I think it’s supposed to return to more “normal” spring weather after tomorrow…

  2. We are experiencing warmer-than-normal temps ourselves. Enjoyable but it does wreak havoc on the garden when there is no rain in sight!

Cool house, indeed! I wonder what is growing all up the front porch?? You’ll have to head back when things are in bloom. I bet it is lovely!

    • Yeah unfortunately I think it had already bloomed and was in the process of dying off… Not sure exactly what it is, but it had purple buddleia type flowers, but larger… That’s about as much use as I can be…. lol…

      • Ah, must have been wisteria then as those would have just finished blooming and, depending upon the variety, put out the blooms before the leaves. Damn – that must have been incredible!!

        • That would fit, as there were no leaves in sight…. See, I learn something new every day… ;)

  3. Love this — great drama. and the b+w brings out the detail – and emotion.. Great work. Good luck.

And WHY are you not posing next to this summer house in shorts and a glass of iced tea? Huh? lol. This is part of the gardens to a castle? Sooooo cool! Awesome shot Funky and I love the bw processing :) Infrared?

    • Ahhhhh, but if I were there in shorts then no one would be looking at the summer house…. WHA !!!… Why are you laughing ??…. Shut up !!… I can STILL hear you laughing dontchaknow !!!!… ;)

And nah, not infrared… This was still Silver Efex, but a sneaky little high contrast orange filter (with its color filter set to red)… I tend to like that one for the dark skies, but it retains more detail in the rest of the shots… Chhers A… Oh and no doubt you’ll be pleased to know that although yesterday was in the 80’s, today it’s gonna struggle to reach 50 I think… lol… Stooopid British weather…
