The camera never lies… Or does it !?!?…

Eye Eye…

Just a little something light and feathery for the weekend… So Simon and Celia Pelican went out for a nice romantic evening… When the meal ended though, Simon was furious at the size of the bill…. Sorry, had to be done… ;)

  2. Hey, you’ve changed this since the email I received! You thought of a better “bill” joke, lol!
Such funny looking birds, aren’t they? More fun with the killer lens. I always love your furry or feathery shots. :-)

  3. I like the detail in the front bird, and the way the poses mirror one another…

  9. Oops! I stole your theme and didn’t even realize it until I stopped back over here! Shows how observant I am. LOL. I’m liking the bigger photos option, and I just don’t feel at home on a white background, so I’m trying it out.

Hey!! We can be “identical blog twins!”. (Reminds me of Joey’s “hand twins” on Friends. ;)

    • Lol… I think you’ll find I may not have exclusive use of it anyways… ;)

And LOL… Identical hands twins is an all time classic… What a great idea… “identical hand blog twins”… LOL… ;)

  10. Oh, and great photos (as always) by the way…I love that the two mirror each other’s pose in that first photo.

    Boom boom! LOL :D

Great shots. I like the bokeh~ed pelican mirroring the one in the foreground.

They’re one of my favourite birds because they look like something out of a cartoonists’s imagination. With that great big bill they look front heavy so you wonder how they can negotiate flight, but they do. …A bit like bumble bees, defying the laws of physics…or something! :)

    • Hehe… Couldn’t agree more… It would be pretty funny to see one open it’s beak mid flight too, and just have it balloon up to full size… ;)

  12. Excellent shots here! I love the first one in particular. The composition is great especially with that DOF. I love the way the two pelicans are looking in almost exactly the same direction!

    • Thanks so much… That was exactly what drew me to the take the shot initially, and I had to be real quick with it before they moved…
