The camera never lies… Or does it !?!?…

The Kissing Gate

I was approached recently by a local pub / restaurant, who expressed an interest in my pictures, and some form of arrangement with me for having some pictures framed and hung on their walls… as art for sale… Well this is one of the first few images they’ve chosen… Can’t wait to see what they look like framed and hung on the walls…

  1. Congrats! Striking image, it’s easy to see why they picked it first.

    • Thanks Tracy… I’m not sure I’ll be retiring on the proceeds though, but it’ll be nice to get some local publicity… :)

It’s great to have had that happen, Brian. Where I used to live in London there were a few pubs that did that for local artists – always good when a cafe or pub/restaurant or whatever is interested in artists’ and photographers’ work.

If you want other places that might exhibit your work, sometimes it’s worth asking at medical places – for instance ‘posh’ dentists sometimes like to display artwork or photos.

    Love the photo – impressive!
    :)

    • Thanks Val..

Thanks Val… I’m looking forward to seeing them framed… and even better if someone buys them too.. Good thinking on the med centres too, but I’m not sure we have much in the way of “posh” round here though… lol…

  5. How cool is that! You are really getting noticed, Brian – Congratulations.
What is the story with the title of the photo?

    November 19, 2010 at 10:43 pm

    • Thanks K… Yeah the recognition is pretty cool… It would be nice to make an income from it too, but then I guess money isn’t everything… As for the title… lol… Well “A Kissing Gate” is just what that style of swing gate is called I’m afraid… No spicy story unfortunately… lol… ;)

  6. How exciting, congrats! You’ll have to take your camera into the pub/restaurant once they hang your materpiece(s) and show us how it looks.
I was wondering about the title, too…. was hoping for something a little more romantic ;-)

Sorry to disappoint on the title though, but I could make something up… ;)

    • Lol… Thanks Jayne… Well I’ve had the odd positive, but I’m not sure I’d class it as a roll just yet… more of a half a sandwich.. ;)
