More than enough flowers and fluffy stuff… Time for some new good ol’ fashioned modern old stuff…

Well now…this is quite the shot for sure! Looks a bit alien…is this the ship that gave you a ride home? Surely they didn’t probe too awful much as to why you were shooting their mother ship… :D
Doubtful they’ll return to exact revenge upon you for sharing this…surely you had them drop you off somewhere other than your REAL address. What?!
Oh dear…well…umm…make yourself real small-like and maybe they’ll fly right on by!
May 20, 2011 at 7:46 pm
What ARE you implying !?!?… I can assure there was certainly no probing !!… lol…
May 20, 2011 at 8:03 pm
That’s what they WANT you to think…obviously their methods are highly effective!
May 20, 2011 at 8:39 pm
Are you speaking from experience !!.. lol..
May 21, 2011 at 4:22 pm
Oohh, pretty purple! (That’s what Sara said)
Great shot! Hey, even that nakey little tree looks purple!
May 20, 2011 at 9:03 pm
S’NOT Purple… lol… It’s… it’s… it’s… well… It’s not purple… ;)
If it’s not purple you had the color balance all wrong…. unless you’re color blind? ;-)
May 21, 2011 at 5:58 pm
LOL… Colour balance is perfect, it’s just my ability to admit that the blue is purple that’s a bit screwy… ;)

Electric inspiration! Very cool.
May 21, 2011 at 12:27 am
Thanks so much Kathy.. :)
May 21, 2011 at 4:28 pm
Stunning night view!
So super sharp. :)
May 21, 2011 at 1:26 am
Thanks so much, it sure is quite the place at night… That is until they turn the lights out.. lol..
May 21, 2011 at 4:29 pm
Did you take any night views of Leadenhall Market nearby?
>Have you been inside and tried the food though, that’s the important question..
Ha ha… The $64,000 Question?!
No, not that one. Been to the one in Angel though. ;)
You like Cuban?
May 22, 2011 at 10:59 pm
I have indeed got a couple of shots of the market at night too… A very impressive place, but quite tricky to get the best from photographically… I did get a couple of nice shots though… :)
May 23, 2011 at 5:36 pm
The market gate + this Lloyd’s building = great composition. :)
But I think a lot of people have already taken that classic look.
May 24, 2011 at 12:15 am
I know what you mean… me too I get tired of nature shot! LOL
This shot is fantastic, I really love the electric purple, and the perspective is great. Cool shot, Brian!
May 21, 2011 at 1:31 am
Yeah you can only have so much fluffy stuff… lol… Thanks Anne… (but it’s electric blue… No honest.. it is.. lol)… ;)
May 21, 2011 at 4:24 pm
This is electric! Awesome – wicked awesome!
I even remembered the building from one of my architecture classes. If the professor had used this image in his slide-show I can guarantee the kids around me would not have fallen asleep!
May 21, 2011 at 2:41 am
Many thanks SIG… It certainly is quite the famous landmark, and very unique too… They often refer to it as “the inside out building”..
May 21, 2011 at 4:26 pm
Modern old stuff! Yup, pretty sweet. It’s like, old stuff, albeit modern, struck by lightning! And the upward perspective gives that real nice dose of vertigo. I love it. With your special funky touch, your urban images are always a treat :)
May 21, 2011 at 5:19 am
Thanks so much A… And there was me thinking the YOU more than anyone would give me grief over the “purple”… lol…
May 21, 2011 at 4:27 pm
Oh, this is so cool! Where is this?
May 21, 2011 at 4:32 pm
Thanks so much RR… This is the Lloyds Building in London, which is sometimes referred to as “The Inside Out Building”… It is quite a sight to see… :)
May 21, 2011 at 4:38 pm
Nice shot, is that an HDR yeah? Love it!
May 21, 2011 at 7:53 pm
Thanks so much, and no this one isn’t actually an HDR shot, but I have to confess it has been tweaked a bit in photoshop, to bring a bit more out of it… :)
May 21, 2011 at 8:27 pm
“I’m dizzy. My heart is spinning!” I think that’s how the lyrics go. That is what this photo makes me feel. The colors are dazzling, Brian. Excellent!
May 22, 2011 at 7:30 pm
Lol… Thanks so much Leslie… Glad it’s had an affect, but hopefully you didn’t spill anything… ;)
May 23, 2011 at 5:34 pm
That is so cool!
May 22, 2011 at 8:56 pm
Thanks so much YP… :)
May 23, 2011 at 5:35 pm
Ummm….yes…it’s purple. :) Nonetheless, it’s freakin’ awesome!! Were there purple/blue lights outside the building? or, did you photoshop that color in? Love it!!
May 23, 2011 at 4:08 pm
Haha… Looks like I’m seriously outvoted on this one… These were indeed the actual colours though… All I did in photoshop was apply my own special “slug’d” sauce to the mix, but the colours are as genuine as they come… Thanks Natalie… :)

Thank you so much… Very kind of you to say so… As far as tips go, well to start… lol… I’d highly recommend that you learn the manual aspects of your camera though, to really get the best from it… If you have any specific questions though, then I’ll try to help if I can… :)

Great colors! The lines are awesome; it sort of makes me feel vertigo.
May 26, 2011 at 3:28 pm
Haha… Yeah I guess it could have that effect.. Thank so much…
May 27, 2011 at 9:41 pm
On my monitor it looks bluey pinky purple and looks like Alien’s home from home (wherever that might be!) What is it, an office building?
May 26, 2011 at 4:53 pm
LOL… and don’t forget the odd bits of orange and red too… And yeah it sure is an office building… It’s the Lloyds Building in London… Thanks Val..
May 27, 2011 at 9:43 pm
