The camera never lies… Or does it !?!?…

Stuart Makes His First Friend

Meet the latest addition to the household, and someone I’m thinking may become a long-term photo buddy of mine… although given the fact he needed assistance from a turtle to get out of his box, I’m not entirely sure I’m going to let him loose with any of my camera gear any time soon… You might also want to meet his long-lost cousin Trevor from the States…

  4. I just told Michaela how much I will look forward to the adventures of Trevor and Stuart. I asked her a bunch of questions about what they are made of and where the idea came from – figured I’d get a “straighter” answer out of her! LOL! ;-)

    • Oh !!… I see… Lol… You don’t think I’d have given you a proper answer eh.. ;) Yeah ok, you might have a point there.. :D

      • Maybe I was wrong – I still don’t know exactly what they are. Michaela said they are plastic and she found them, but didn’t really explain them. Whatever they are, I can’t wait to see what you two come up with.

        • Lol.. They’re pose-able models Karen, originally from Amazon, but you can get them all over the web… They’re “Danbo’s”, and quite popular for a few photography laughs… See… Straight answer… ;)

        • A straight answer from Brian!! It’s a miracle! …..or something is very, very wrong…. LOL

  5. Adorable! :-)

Sooooooo, what’s the story behind Stuart? Did you create this little guy?

    February 19, 2012 at 4:02 pm

    • Thanks Tracy… They are great aren’t they, and I only wish I had created them, as I’d be rich by now… Lol.. They’re Danbo models from Amazon…

      • Thanks, Bri! I did think they were made of cardboard. I’d not seen/heard of them.

Can Stuart meet mini-Brian next?? ;-)

        • I have a list I’m building of shots, and that may already be on there… lol… ;)

Hello Stuart…aren’t you cute? Surely you’ll be snapping pics of Brian and similar poses sometime soon. Just practice while he’s sleeping and put everything back exactly where you found it. He’ll never know (our little secret…I’d say pinky promise but…lol). :)

    February 19, 2012 at 4:51 pm

    • Hahaha… Pinky Promise… There’s no way he’s getting his stumps on my camera gear though G.. ;)

        Hmmm…what you don’t know about… ;)

    Very cute!

  10. Hahaha… very clever!
I really got a kick out of this, FS!
I just hope Stuart’s new friend remembered to pull with his legs and not his shell!
    :)

i love the little turtle too

    February 20, 2012 at 11:51 pm

    • Haha… Pretty easy actually Chloe, although they’re not cheap… Just search for “Danbo” on ebay and the like… This one is the Mini Danbo… and is one of the harder wearing plastic ones…

      February 21, 2012 at 7:17 pm

  12. So very cute! Lucky his turtle friend was around to help him out.

    February 21, 2012 at 1:23 pm

    • Yeah it was, or he’d likely still be in there… lol… Thanks JP..

  13. How cute! And now that I’ve looked through your comments, I don’t have to ask about Stuart and Trevor (where they come from, what they’re made of, etc.). It’s good that Stuart has someone to pull him out of those tough spots. :) (I wouldn’t let him handle the camera gear either!)

    February 22, 2012 at 8:10 pm

  14. I think Stuart is awesome! I will enjoy following his journey with you, Brian.
