Down By The River
Just occasionally, it is actually worth getting up early in the morning…

Being an early riser myself (not exactly by choice), I’d say that if I could enjoy THIS view instead of the one I’m typically greeted with…I’d consider myself lucky. Please put a reserved sign on that picnic table nearest the waters edge. That shall be mine! ;)

If we had views like this round here too, I might get out of bed early through choice a bit more often.. lol.. I’ll reserve the table, as long as you provide the bacon butties and coffee.. :)

Should I assume that’s a pig’s rear then? :D
February 19, 2013 at 11:07 pm
Haha.. You may have what you like, but mine’s a bacon sandwich.. :D

Hm….you can’t be getting up THAT early. I get up early and it’s still DARK outside!!
This is gorgeous Brian. Love the light!
…and which boat is yours? ;-)

It’s still dark when I get up too… or at least it is until I open my eyes, and I’m sure that still counts.. :)
…and the white one.. :)
February 19, 2013 at 11:18 pm
Ha! Only counts when it’s still dark when your eyes are open!
February 19, 2013 at 11:23 pm
I’m up at 4:30am. It’s dark for quite some time beyond that. :D
February 19, 2013 at 11:32 pm
Yep, 4 – 4:30 for me, too. Anything later than that I consider sleeping in :-P
February 19, 2013 at 11:41 pm
It’s been 4-4:30 before I’ve gone to bed before.. Again, I’m sure that counts too.. :)
February 19, 2013 at 11:58 pm
If I got to sleep until 10 am, I would have no problems staying up until 4-4:30 am.

It’s worth getting up early, for me anyway, I like the quietness, but sometime it feel really good to stay home and sleep. ;) Beautiful image!

I have to admit, the enjoyment of being out on mornings like this one is something I love too, but maybe not quite as much as my bed. Lol. Thanks Anne. :-)

Wowee a blog post! :-D
This is gorgeous. Thanks for the little reminder of warmer days to come.

So when exactly was that shot taken? Were you sorting through your archives when you decided to post it?
February 21, 2013 at 12:56 pm
Haha. Yeah.. It’s an old flickr shot that wasn’t particularly well edited the first time around, so I decided to start from scratch and hopefully do it properly this time.. :-)

Isn’t that gorgeous… I was going to say that we’ve been blessed with a few beautiful days of sunshine but then I noticed that you’re doing the same as me, i.e. going through your photo files. Don’t know *what* you’ve done with this but whatever you’ve done, you’ve done it really well. :)

Actually, we have had a few nice days here too Jayne, but I’ve not touched my camera in such a long time it’s almost criminal.. Not blogged at all in such a long time either. Reworking old shots is about all there is at the mo. lol. And thank you so much. :-)

Wow. This is gorgeous. With a scene like that to go to, I’d be up early in the morning, too.

Great shot and beautiful post-editing! I follow your blog because your post inspires me. I do some HDR work myself but haven’t got to your level yet
