The camera never lies… Or does it !?!?…

Karma’s Scavenger Hunt – April

So here are the images for April… Have to confess though that I left this all right to the last minute this time around… and when I say last minute, I mean literally “yesterday”… lol…

A Body of Water – No really, it IS !!!… See the fish, well that’s the body, and it’s quite clearly full of water !!!… :)

– This is an OLD original “tin” train set that I played with as a kid, and was my dads before me, as clearly I’m not THAT old… “WHAT !!!… Who’s laughing !?!?… I heard that !!!”…

– Well, strictly speaking, in proper money… it’s actually a bonnet, but as most of you speak funny, I’ll play along for now and pretend it’s a hood… ;)

– A brussel sprout to be exact… Yum… Love em or hate em, but me likes… I like Marmite too… :)

– Wanted to do a beer, but someone drunk them all…. hic !!!…

– Or the close up weave of a wire basket at least…

– Ummmmm…. S’not mine… Honest… :)

And the Bonus
… Well it was ever so slightly unfair, as we don’t not got none cardinals over here… Nor do we have any all red native birds… so the best I could do was a bird with some red on it… It’s a Great Spotted Woodpecker… It’ll have to suffice… :)

  1. Nice work Brian! I’m glad you decided to participate even if it was last minute. Gerry and Kathy also had interesting solutions to the cardinal issue too. I promise next time the bonus won’t be North American only! I think it is funny you chose the car’s hood for your hood specifically since you call it a bonnet. Do you call those old fashioned Easter hats bonnets too?
Love your take on the body of water – and I’d still love to see it if you get to photoshop that water body you mentioned.

    • It’s always last minute with me… Best laid plans an all that.. lol.. I’ll have to check out everyone elses when you do the wrap up..

And lol… Well as most of you are American, I thought I’d go with the Americanism… You’re still not having Ladybug though… lol… And yeah we call them Easter Bonnets too.. ;)

  3. Oohh, I love them all! I was seriously considering a glass of water for my “body of water”.
Very cool that you still have the train that used to belong to your dad.
The hood…. OK, I learned British English in school, but cannot remember the hood of a car being called a bonnet, and think you are just messing with us :-P
    Brussel sprouts – hate them!
    Nice bud! Beats the beer!
The basket shot is really interesting.
Cute bunny, I like the woodpecker, too.

    • Thanks Michaela… I had other ideas for my body of water… The main one being a complete photoshopped body entirely of water, but I simply didn’t get round to it… And nope, we do indeed call a hood a bonnet… No wind up… honest… lol… :D

That bunny has YOU painted all over it! hehe… Awesome scavenger hunt. I love your humour and the shots you got to fit with the hunt… body of water…hehehe… Love the tulip bud shot. The angle makes it look like a dragon head or something.

I like the idea of making a PS’ed body of water. Do it!

Love all your images, especially the train shot. I didn’t realize a woodpecker looks like that, I only saw one in cartoon when I was little and it looked different.
